St. Joseph Central came tearing into Saturday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Calhoun Red Devils by a score of 11-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 back in March.

David Beane was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Brayden McDowell was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and three runs.
