Basketball Recap: Klein Oak Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hudson on Friday, Klein Oak came back down to earth. The Klein Oak Panthers came up short against the Grand Oaks Grizzlies on Friday, falling 64-44. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 91st).

Klein Oak's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Grand Oaks, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lufkin the next time they take the court. Grand Oaks will head out to face Lufkin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Klein Oak will head out to face them at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday.
