Baseball Recap: Stratford Comes Up Short

Stratford lost to Berkeley back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights came up short against the Stags, falling 15-5. Knights fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Stags since Monday.

Stratford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dom Longello, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Jarrett Wagner was another, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Stratford and nudges their season record down to 14-7. As for Berkeley, they pushed their record up to 12-6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

While Stratford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
