Basketball Game Preview: Nokomis Redskins vs. Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes

Having just played yesterday, the Nokomis Redskins will jump right back in to play the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Georgetown-Ridge Farm took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Nokomis, who comes in off a win.

Nokomis not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since December 13, 2024 (when they won 53-20). They blew past Neoga, posting a 60-29 win. The victory continues a trend for the Redskins in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Georgetown-Ridge Farm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 47-32 to Arcola.

Nokomis' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Nokomis beat Georgetown-Ridge Farm 48-39 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
