Baseball Recap: Osceola Takes a Loss

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Osceola was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hoxie Mustangs, falling 17-2. The Seminoles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 15-11.

Osceola saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willie Robinson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Osceola dropped their record down to 2-12-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hoxie, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 5-11 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osceola will venture away from home to take on Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Greyhounds will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Seminoles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hoxie, they will head out on the road to face off against Rivercrest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
