Soccer Game Preview: Dunn vs. Santa Ynez

The Dunn Earwigs will take on the Santa Ynez Pirates at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dunn has given up an average of 5.6 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Dunn's offense. They lost 7-0 to Cate on Thursday. Dunn have struggled against Cate recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, neither Santa Ynez nor Templeton could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Santos Orozco and Vince Guerrero scored both of the Pirates' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Santa Ynez's draw makes their record 4-3-3 this season. As for Dunn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

Everything went Dunn's way against Santa Ynez in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, as Dunn made off with a 6-3 win. Will the Earwigs repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
