After a string of nine wins, Broaddus's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wells Pirates. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 55-50.

When it comes to explaining why Broaddus lost, don't look at Kingston Sanders. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 14 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Sowell, who posted six points and three steals.

Broaddus' defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-8. As for Wells, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-6.

Broaddus will square off against Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Broaddus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season. As for Wells, they will be playing at home against Zavalla at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Wells' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Zavalla has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
