New Deal came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the Floydada Whirlwinds with a 44-38 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-50 back in January.

New Deal has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Floydada, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-14.

New Deal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 38-23 defeat against New Home on the 4th. As for Floydada, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 78-32 loss against Abernathy on the 4th.
