After a string of three wins, Lima Senior's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Van Buren Black Knights, falling 12-2.

Angie Kohlhofer made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Lima Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Van Buren, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lima Senior will head out to challenge Woodward at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Van Buren, they will venture away from home to take on Vanlue at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Black Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
