The matchup between Center Hill and Lewisburg on Friday hardly resembled the 15-7 effort from their previous meeting. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 42-17 margin over the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Mustangs have posted against the Patriots since September 23, 2016.

One reason for the win was Center Hill's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. Kyngston Shannon was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three himself.

Center Hill now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lewisburg, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Center Hill and Lewisburg will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Mustangs see the field they'll take on Grenada at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Lewisburg, their break will end when they face DeSoto Central at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
