Volleyball Recap: Berlin Redcoats vs. Southington Blue Knights

Berlin suffered their biggest defeat since September 12th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Southington Blue Knights, falling 3-0. The Redcoats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.

Southington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Paige Raines out in front who had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Raines has posted in her last seven games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Ferreira, who had 16 digs.

Berlin's loss dropped their record down to 7-4-2. As for Southington, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Berlin will head out to challenge RHAM at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southington, they will square off against Simsbury at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
