Shawnee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were dealt a 55-20 defeat at the hands of Jonathan Alder on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the Pioneers are ranked 168th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Derek Boehmer, who threw for 249 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Zain DeWeese, who gained 82 total yards.

Meanwhile, Northwestern was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 21-17 to Kenton Ridge. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Shawnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Things could have been worse for Shawnee, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 35-20 loss to Northwestern when the teams last played back in October of 2024.
