Flag Football Recap: Fairfield Snags Ninth Victory in Last 12 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clayton Valley Charter, Fairfield was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 15-6 victory over the Florin Panthers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Falcons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Panthers are ranked 503rd).

Fairfield has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.8 points on average over those games. As for Florin, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-9.

Coming up, Fairfield will welcome Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs' defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Florin, they will face off against Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
