Volleyball Game Preview: Robinson Rockets vs. China Spring Cougars

Robinson is 1-9 against China Spring since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rockets will head out to challenge the Cougars at 6:00 p.m.

Robinson lost 3-0 to Lorena on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rockets have suffered against the Leopards since August 23, 2022.

Robinson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lorena work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, China Spring made easy work of Connally on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

China Spring not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Connally between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-17.

China Spring's victory bumped their record up to 21-14. As for Robinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-16.

Robinson couldn't quite get it done against China Spring in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 3-1. Can the Rockets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
