Football Recap: Armstrong Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Armstrong and Moon Area squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Armstrong had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 48-21 loss at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the River Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Tigers are ranked 17th).

Jaydon Oliver and Quinton Olsen certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Oliver threw for 200 yards and one TD, while Olsen picked up 138 receiving yards and one score.

Andrew Cross was a one-man wrecking crew For Moon Area. as he rushed for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 59 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Cross a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Armstrong's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Moon Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Armstrong nor Moon Area have any future games scheduled.
