Baseball Recap: Hardaway Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hardaway got themselves on the board against Coosa on Monday, but Coosa never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Coosa Eagles with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Hawks' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Nick Hudson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he also posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. Hudson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Hardaway let Keshaun Davis and Christian Eleby loose on the outfield. Davis scored a run and stole five bases while going 2-for-2, while Eleby scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Eleby is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakobe Dewhart, who scored a run and stole three bases.

Hardaway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Hardaway's record is now 3-0. As for Coosa, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hardaway beat Coosa by a score of 11-1 later that day.
