Basketball Recap: Entiat Has No Trouble Against Curlew

While Entiat didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Curlew Cougars with a sharp 66-42 win on Friday. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Logan Ringstad and Evan Olson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Ringstad dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards, while Olson posted eight points and eight boards.

The victory (which was Entiat's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Curlew, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Entiat will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bridgeport at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Curlew, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-44 loss against Selkirk on the 21st.
