Football Game Preview: Niceville Eagles vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins

Niceville is a perfect 3-0 against Gulf Breeze since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will square off against the Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Niceville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Tate for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Aggies: they've now won seven in a row.

Niceville found their leader in sophomore Peyton Carter, who threw for 228 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.5% of her passes. Carter has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is undefeated when she posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-6 otherwise.

Niceville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Khamauri Hardy and Dakota Gobbie.

Meanwhile, Gulf Breeze owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 24-0 margin over Pine Forest.

Niceville pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for Gulf Breeze, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.

Niceville took their victory against Gulf Breeze in their previous meeting on Monday by a conclusive 20-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
