Softball Recap: Piedmont Comes Up Short

Piedmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-6 to the Hokes Bluff Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 5, 2024.

Piedmont's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hokes Bluff, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Coming up, Piedmont will challenge Pleasant Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasant Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Piedmont surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hokes Bluff, they will head out on the road to face off against Glencoe at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glencoe knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Hokes Bluff likes a good challenge.
