Basketball Recap: Northside Christian Comes Up Short

Northside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The match between them and the Admiral Farragut BlueJackets didn't end well, with the Northside Christian Mustangs falling 67-48. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the BlueJackets earlier this season, when they won 72-52.

Admiral Farragut's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marco De Carvalho led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Kai Trunca was another key player, putting up 13 points and six assists.

Northside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Admiral Farragut, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northside Christian will square off against Bradenton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Admiral Farragut has already played their next game (against Cardinal Mooney), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
