Basketball Recap: David Douglas Comes Up Short

David Douglas saw some tournament action on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 63-48 to the Mainland Buccaneers. The contest marked the Scots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mainland was led to victory by Kade Manley and Canyon Powers. Manley went 7 for 14 on his way to 21 points, while Powers dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Parks, who posted nine points.

David Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mainland, their record now sits at 3-4.

David Douglas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-43 defeat against Milken on the 21st. As for Mainland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-49 win against St. John-Vianney on the 20th.
