Baseball Recap: Fultondale Takes a Loss

Fultondale was the 7-6 winner over Parker when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Fultondale Wildcats fell just short of the Parker Thundering Herd by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday.

Austin Rogers led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Guevara, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Fultondale dropped their record down to 3-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Parker, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fultondale will face off against Pleasant Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parker, they will challenge Midfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parker is facing Midfield at the right time seeing as Midfield is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
