It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Antioch ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over the Napa Grizzlies. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 66-60 win the Grizzlies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Antioch found their leader in sophomore Dereon Ourm-Blackman, who went 6 of 8 to rack up 19 points. Devin Simes was another key player, putting up ten points.

Antioch's victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Napa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

Antioch has already played their next matchup, a 63-60 loss against Heritage on the 11th. As for Napa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-47 win against Justin-Siena on the 11th.
