Volleyball Recap: Hammond Takes a Loss

Hammond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Ponchatoula Green Wave, falling 3-0. If the Tornadoes were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Green Wave when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-7, 25-15.

Hammond's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Ponchatoula, they pushed their record up to 19-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hammond will square off against rival Covington at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ponchatoula is set to face off against their familiar foe Northshore at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
