Softball Game Preview: Redmond Panthers vs. Summit Storm

Redmond is 8-1-1 against Summit since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Storm at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Redmond and 21 for Summit dating back to last season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Redmond duked it out with Mountain View on Wednesday. The Panthers came up short against the Cougars, falling 11-3.

Meanwhile, Summit lost 18-9 to Bend on Wednesday.

Summit's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Redmond, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Redmond got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Summit by a conclusive 19-13 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
