Baseball Recap: Saul Wins Going Away Against Vaux Big Picture

The Saul Razorbacks got the win against the Vaux Big Picture Cougars on Monday by a conclusive 15-4. The Razorbacks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by nine runs or more this season.

Saul got a massive performance out of Yamar Hayes, who got on base in five of his eight plate appearances with eight stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Hayes is becoming a predictor of the Razorbacks' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't). Hunter Williams was another key player, getting on base in five of his eight plate appearances with seven stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Saul and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Vaux Big Picture, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Saul will challenge Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
