Basketball Recap: L'Anse Creuse North Comes Up Short

L'Anse Creuse North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Utica Chieftains. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 60-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

L'Anse Creuse North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Utica, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. L'Anse Creuse North has already played their next game (against Romeo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Utica will challenge Anchor Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Anchor Bay will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Utica surely won't give up without a fight.
