Softball Recap: Charleston Takes a Loss

Charleston entered their game against Mattoon on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Trojans fell 6-2 to the Greenwave. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Greenwave since on Tuesday.

Avery Beals made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-3. As for Mattoon, their record is now 3-4.

While Charleston had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
