Baseball Recap: Santa Gertrudis Academy Comes Up Short

Santa Gertrudis Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Harlingen South Hawks, falling 13-2.

Santa Gertrudis Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Hinojosa, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Hinojosa has posted since back in February of 2024. Jordan Marquez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Santa Gertrudis Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Harlingen South, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

As for Harlingen South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against King on the 1st.
