Basketball Recap: Our Redeemer's Christian Comes Up Short

Our Redeemer's Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 62-54 to the Surrey Mustangs. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Surrey got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Keller out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Keller a new career-high in blocks (five). Another player making a difference was Sienna Klimpel, who posted 14 points and eight boards.

Our Redeemer's Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Surrey, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Our Redeemer's Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-34 victory against Bishop Ryan on the 1st. Surrey has also already played their next game, a 66-54 win against Parshall on the 1st.
