Football Recap: Huge Rushing Attack Leads Crescent over Pendleton

Crescent won the last time they faced Pendleton and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 28-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Mason Evans produced another solid performance rushing for 110 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 188 yards and one TD while completing 73.7% of his passes. A healthy portion of Evans' aerial production (128 yards to be exact) went to Amiri Acker, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Crescent was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.

Crescent's record now sits at 7-3. As for Pendleton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Crescent will welcome Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Yellowjackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pendleton, they are taking a road trip to challenge Broome at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
