Basketball Game Preview: West Brunswick Trojans vs. Ashley Screaming Eagle

West Brunswick is on a three-game streak of home losses, Ashley a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The West Brunswick Trojans will host the Ashley Screaming Eagle at 6:00 p.m. West Brunswick has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Friday, West Brunswick came up short against Topsail and fell 55-43. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Pirates are ranked 101st).

Meanwhile, Ashley also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to New Hanover by a score of 48-39.

West Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Ashley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

West Brunswick came up short against Ashley when the teams last played back in January, falling 44-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ashley's Jaeden Hudson, who went 9 of 18 en route to 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
