Softball Recap: West Greene Takes a Loss

West Greene was the 8-6 winner over Hampton when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Buffaloes fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaylee Willett was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Addison Peters also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

West Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hampton, they pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Greene beat the Bulldogs by a score of 6-5 later that day.
