Softball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Jefferson finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 19-1 to the Orthopaedic Vipers. The match marked the Democrats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jefferson moved to 6-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Orthopaedic, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Jefferson will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Los Angeles at 4:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Orthopaedic, they will face off against Downtown Magnets at 2:30 p.m. on the 21st. The Vipers are facing the Suns at the right time seeing as the Suns are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
