Volleyball Recap: Oregon Panthers vs. Monona Grove Silver Eagles
With a playoff game on the line, Oregon rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Monona Grove Silver Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Silver Eagles, too.
Oregon was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-15.
Sophia Tsai paced Oregon's offense, picking up 11 kills. Tsai got some help from
Rylee Anderson and her 17 assists. Tsai was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Oregon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 28-13 record this season. As for Monona Grove, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-20.
Oregon will venture away from home to face off against Sun Prairie West at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sun Prairie West will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Oregon surely won't give up without a fight. Monona Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
