Volleyball Recap: East Lincoln Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last five times East Lincoln and Bandys had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Thursday. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Bandys scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-17.

Bandys' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ariana Kearney, who had 19 digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Carson Paysour, who had eight aces and three digs.

East Lincoln now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bandys, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Lincoln will take on rival North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bandys is set to square off against their familiar foe Bunker Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
