Softball Recap: Richwoods Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Richwoods's offense. They came up short against the Canton Little Giants on Thursday, falling 10-0. The Knights' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.

Richwoods saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Gorell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Richwoods' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Canton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Richwoods will head out on the road to challenge Pekin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Canton, they will be playing at home against Pearl City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Canton will need to watch out since Pearl City has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
