Mitchell waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles by a score of 53-44. Given the Kernels' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
