Caledonia faced Chatfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Warriors walked away with a 4-0 win over the Gophers. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Gophers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Avery Augedahl made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Augedahl wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Elsa Blum, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Caledonia's record is now 7-1. As for Chatfield, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caledonia will host Cotter at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chatfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Island at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.7 runs per game on average), something the Gophers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
