Friday just wasn't the day for Detroit Lakes's offense. They came up short against the Thief River Falls Prowlers on Friday, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lakers of the 15-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Detroit Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thief River Falls, the victory was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Detroit Lakes beat the Prowlers by a score of 4-3 later that day.
