Tri-Cities Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They claimed a resounding 83-52 win over the Daniel Boone Trailblazers. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Trailblazers are ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tri-Cities Christian was led to victory by Lofton Looney and Christopher Mulumbela. Looney went 11 for 16 on his way to 25 points along with seven boards and four steals, while Mulumbela dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 rebounds. That's the most steals Looney has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Will Holmes, who went 9 of 17 en route to 16 points.

Tri-Cities Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 6.1 offensive rebounds per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.5.

Tri-Cities Christian's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-11. As for Daniel Boone, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

Tri-Cities Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 80-44 win against KACHEA on the 30th. Daniel Boone has also already played their next contest, a 64-50 loss against Volunteer on the 28th.
