Lexington had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. Everything went their way against the River Bluff Gators as they made off with an 11-1 win. 11 seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Lexington's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for River Bluff, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-2 record this season.

Lexington will take on North Augusta at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for River Bluff, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
