Baseball Recap: Coyle Comes Up Short

Coyle lost a heartbreaker to Carney when they met back in April of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Thursday. The Coyle Bluejackets fell just short of the Carney Bulldogs by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bluejackets have suffered since March 18, 2024.

Coyle's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carney, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Coyle has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Butner on the 6th. As for Carney, they will square off against Stonewall at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
