Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Floyd). They came out on top against the Hondo Valley Eagles by a score of 55-43 on Tuesday. The Broncos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Floyd was led to victory by Issak Bustamante and David Melendez. Bustamante went 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points, while Melendez posted 13 points. The dominant performance gave Melendez a new career-high in points.

Floyd is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points per game. As for Hondo Valley, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Floyd has already played their next match (against Gateway Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hondo Valley will welcome Hatch Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
