Basketball Recap: Prince Edward County Takes a Loss

Prince Edward County lost against Nottoway back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Prince Edward County Eagles took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nottoway Cougars. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Xxavier Mccain, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds for Nottoway. Mccain is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jahmarion Wright, who went 6 for 13 to rack up 14 points along with six assists and three steals.

Prince Edward County's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Nottoway, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Prince Edward County beat Nottoway by a score of 67-55 on Friday.
