Recap: Seymour Wildcats vs. Naugatuck Greyhounds
Even though the Naugatuck Greyhounds scored an imposing 69 points on Wednesday, the Seymour Wildcats still came out on top. Seymour skirted past Naugatuck 71-69. The win made it back-to-back wins for Seymour.
Indrit Peraj continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 5-for-8 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Seymour's points. Another player making a difference was Kooper Harmeling, who scored ten points.
Seymour's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Naugatuck, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seymour will finish 2023 at home by hosting Derby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Derby comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Naugatuck, they will be playing at home against Wolcott at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
