Softball Recap: Perry Meridian Falcons vs. Ben Davis Giants
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perry Meridian). They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Ben Davis Giants on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Giants: they've now won three in a row.

Perry Meridian got a great performance from Caitlin Harris as she struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. Those six strikeouts gave Harris a new career-high.
At the plate, Perry Meridian let Karsyn Naue and Macy Stroud run wild. Naue went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Stroud scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Stroud a new career-high. Alivia Neace also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Perry Meridian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Ben Davis, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Coincidentally, Perry Meridian and Ben Davis will both be playing Lebanon the next time they take the field. The Falcons will head out to face the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Giants will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
