Basketball Recap: Stoughton Comes Up Short

Stoughton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to the Mansfield Hornets on the road by a 60-41 margin. While losing is never fun, the Black Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Hornets are ranked eighth).

Stoughton now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Mansfield, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stoughton will host Foxborough at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mansfield, they will welcome North Attleborough at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
