Baseball Recap: Pittsburg Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

While Pittsburg's victory against Miramonte wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pittsburg Pirates had just enough and edged out the Miramonte Matadors 3-2 on Thursday. The win was just business as usual for the Pirates, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Pittsburg's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Devin Simonton, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Pittsburg pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Miramonte, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pittsburg will host Washington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Miramonte, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Alhambra at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
