Softball Recap: Ulysses Takes a Loss

Ulysses was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Stanton County Trojans, falling 16-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Thursday.

Ulysses' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Stanton County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ulysses will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Goodland at 3:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Stanton County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwestern Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
